Users have a choice of three backup types: the entire computer (all connected volumes), Disks/Volumes (users can select individual physical disks or partitions) and files and folders. The latest version also unveils a smart new user interface based on the modern UI. Differential backups record only the changes made since the last full backup was taken, while incremental backups record changes since the last incremental backup. Version 17 introduces support for both incremental and differential backups for greater flexibility and to reduce disk space usage. The free tool offers a comprehensive series of backup tools: entire disks (including structure), individual partitions and selected files and folders. This has made certain aspects of the program - restoring selected parts of a backup, for example - trickier to find. It also unveils a brand-new user interface with slick, user-friendly modern UI. Version 17 sees the program gain support for incremental and differential backups for more faster backups and more efficient use of available drive space. Paragon Software GmbH has released Paragon Backup & Recovery 17 Free 64-bit (also available for 32-bit), a brand-new version of its free (for personal use) backup and restore tool for Windows PCs.
